Stream 3: Demolition waste (clean)

This stream consists of recyclable waste including reinforced and unreinforced concrete mixed with low percentages of brick (masonry), ceramics, plastic, and wood waste. It arises from the demolition of buildings used for commercial and/or industrial purposes.

Stream 1: Demolition waste (separate material streams)

This stream consists of separate and “clean” waste codes such as demolished (unreinforced) concrete (e.g., sidewalk slabs) and milled asphalt. It arises from public roadworks, water supply, sewerage projects, and large technical projects that require the demolition of older infrastructure.

This stream also includes concrete production waste, which concrete producers may optionally manage through the CSAM.

Stream 1A: Excavation waste (sandy)

Includes excavation waste, earthen, exclusively sandy in composition, which may result from excavations for infrastructure projects and do not require crushing and sorting operations.

Stream 2: Demolition waste (mixed)

This stream consists of mixed recyclable waste, including soil, lightly reinforced concrete, and asphalt pieces. It arises from public infrastructure projects where there is no possibility of temporary storage for on-site sorting of materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, etc.

It also includes soil waste from excavations of public and private projects.

Stream 5: Renovation waste

This stream consists of mixed masonry waste, primarily containing ceramics, building material packaging, plastic nylon, paper and cardboard, and wood in large percentages. It mainly arises from private renovation projects (commercial stores, banks, residences, etc.).

Stream 6: Self-managed waste

This category of waste can be managed on-site (in situ) by the responsible manager, provided they have the appropriate licensing, and the produced secondary materials can be used for the needs of the same project. It exclusively pertains to earthen – semi-rocky or rocky excavation waste, as well as mixtures of mineral asphalt, concrete, and mixtures of concrete, bricks, tiles, and ceramics.

Stream 7: Metal waste

This stream consists of recyclable metals resulting from dismantling activities and includes zinc, iron and steel, tin, mixed metals, copper, bronze, brass, aluminum, lead, and non-hazardous cables.
